Adult
ABFs are the adult alternative to "Sunday School." We strive to meet the unique needs and wants of adults. We further recognize that adults tend to form stronger bonds with other adults of similar "life situation periods." Thus, we have broken our ABF groups into broad "time of life" periods."		 Bible
We study the Bible because it's God's Word and because it is important and relevant for life. The study of the Bible is the primary goal of our ABFs, and we use various methods of teaching to accurately teach the Bible.		 Fellowships
We believe that ABFs are much more than mere adult Sunday School, because they include interaction between class members both inside and outside of normal class times. We strive to get to know one another, pray for each other, care about each other's needs, become friends with one another, and help each other grow.

"Explorers" - Bill & Debbie Mace - Couples ages 20 to 50 - Hammond Hall

This is a class that is discussion oriented and is applicational in nature.

  • This group is designed for couples with children ages 25-45. 
  • This group is for those who desire an in depth study of God's Word that is applicational to real life, especially those areas related to the family.
  • This group focuses upon helping each other build stronger familes and having fellowship outings for the entire family.
  • Bill Mace is the IT manager for "Construction Labor," a multi-state company based locally in Richfield, Ohio.  Debbie is a stay at home mom to Colleen, Adam, & Emily.
Our ABF has a focus on prayer, sharing, caring, and a search for knowledge from God.

"Defenders" - Tom Goodrich - Adults ages 40 to 70 - Hammond Hall

Philippians 1:16 "...Knowing that I am put here for the defense of the Gospel." 
  • This ABF is designed for both singes and couples in the middle of life, between 30 and 60 years of age. 
  • This group stresses learning the Bible in an open, sharing, and guided format, with class interaction and lively discussions.
  • Tom Goodrich serves as Worship Pastor here at Faith and is a self employed painter / wall paper hanger.  Sandi is the principal at Walls Elementary in the Kent school district.
You can look forward to Sharing, Prayer, Bible study that is applicable and topical. Also includes Social activities and Caring.

"Ambassadors" - Dan & Jyll Oreskovic - Young Adults ages 18 - 30 - Hammond Hall

2 Corinthians 5:20  ". . . we are ambassadors for Christ . . ."

  • This ABF is for "college & career" oriented young adults up to about 30 years old.
  • Includes both singles, couples, engaged, and young married.
  • Designed to interact through deeper study and discussion Bible principles for living in a contemporary culture.
  • Involves social events and support through prayer and help.
  • Dan Oreskovic is manager at the main branch of the Cleveland Library System, and is currently working on a Master of Divinity through Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA.  Jyll is a stay at home mom to Connor and Calli.

Current study: "The Book of Colossians"

"OASIS" - Pastor Don Workman- Mixed Adults 40 and up - Worship Center

Proverbs 1:5  " A wise man (person) will hear and increase in learning . . . " 

  • This is a small group  for those who are experiencing "mid life" as well as those in the "wisdom years" of life - a really unique synergy of ages!
  • Bible studies are related directly to life situations.
  • Is concerned about praying for and caring for one another as they study what the Bible says.
  • Don Workman is Senior Pastor here at Faith since 1992.  Beth effectively organizes the nursery ministry as a true teaching opportunity with those 2 years and under.  She is the Pre - kindergarten founder and teacher at Northfield Christian School.
