Faith Baptist Church
Winter 2009
February 11th, 2009

Dear Friends in Christ,

How time flies! We are greatful for each of you who pray continually for us, even though we don't get to write as often as we would like. We thank you, also, for faithfully supporting our ministry with your resources, and we are conscious of the sacrifice this means to many of you in these trying times. We pray the Lord will meet your needs as you give so others might hear.

We are thankful for good health and strength, as well as for the Lord's protection during this winter weather. As I am writing this Steve is up at Northland Baptist Bible College, teaching a module. They have sub-zero weather and lots of snow! He said last night, "What's wrong with this picture?!" He wishes he had planned his winter months in the South! Nevertheless, the Lord is using him there, not only with the instruction assignment, but also to speak to many students about the Lord's call on their lives. Please pray for Steve continually, as he ministers in many different colleges and churches. He has a full schedule through the rest of the winter and spring months.

We are excited to tell you that our daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Luke Warner, are finally in Romania! In just over two years the Lord brought them to full support, and within just a few short weeks after that, they were gone! We miss them so much, but we are content that they are just where God wants them to be. It is so different from when we went to the field, because we can communicate with them instantly by e-mail, by Vonage phone and even through Skype, a computer video connection. We have taken a tour around their apartment, and now we can keep them in our hearts and mind's eye as we pray. Their language study of Romanian began this week, so please keep them in your prayers.

Our son, Paul, is finished with the course requirement for his undergraduate degree at Northland. He is now doing a required internship in our church which is the final part of his college work. His fiance, Laura Sawyer, is doing her student teaching at our Christian school. Paul and Laura plan to be married on May 16th in Queens, New York, just a week after they graduate from Northland. Pray for all of us during that busy, happy time!

Many of you have asked about the mentoring ministry for the women the Lord has given me this past year. I'd like to say that it is going very well, and that the Lord is blessing us in some very unique ways. We have 15 pairs going for this year, and their relationships seem to be growing and thriving. Once again I will be training new mentors during the month of March, preparing them for the fall, when they will get a "daughter of the heart". We praise the Lord for His help in this new ministry.

We want to thank each of you who wrote to us about receiving our prayer letter by e-mail, rather than through the mail. However, we would like to encourage many more of you do do likewise. Thanks!

Steve and Judy Fulks
